In a pioneering move to bolster rural entrepreneurship, Gurugram-based non-banking financial company (NBFC) Moneyboxx Finance has integrated veterinary services into its micro-lending model. This initiative aims to support borrowers engaged in livestock-based businesses by ensuring the health and productivity of their primary income-generating assets.
Unlike traditional lenders, Moneyboxx employs full-time veterinarians at several of its branch locations. These professionals provide free services, including medical treatment, vaccinations, and artificial insemination, directly supporting borrowers' livestock health and productivity. This initiative aims to enhance borrowers' financial sustainability by ensuring the well-being of their primary income-generating assets.
Deepak Aggarwal, Co-founder, Co-CEO, and CFO of Moneyboxx Finance, emphasized the company's commitment to going beyond mere financial transactions. "Our mission has evolved beyond simply providing loans, with a more focused approach to fostering grassroots entrepreneurship, promoting financial inclusion, and enabling sustainable livelihoods," he stated.
Moneyboxx's unique model reflects a holistic approach to financial services by combining lending with essential support systems. Beyond veterinary services, the company offers financial literacy initiatives and personalized borrower engagement, ensuring that micro-entrepreneurs not only access credit but also build sustainable businesses.
With a network of 163 branches across 12 states, Moneyboxx caters to underserved segments like livestock, micro and small manufacturers, and retail traders. It offers secured and unsecured business loans ranging from โน1 lakh to โน10 lakh, tailored to meet the specific needs of micro-entrepreneurs.
The company's innovative approach has garnered support from 32 lenders, including major banks like State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. By integrating veterinary services into its lending model, Moneyboxx Finance is setting a new standard for holistic micro-lending, aiming to empower rural entrepreneurs and drive inclusive economic growth.
