IndusInd Bank has inaugurated its 12th all‑women branch, this time in Chennai at the Saveetha Dental College campus in Velappanchavadi, aiming to create a more inclusive and welcoming banking experience for women clients. Spread over 1,300 sq ft and staffed by five dedicated women officers, the branch offers the full spectrum of retail services—from savings and current accounts to fixed and recurring deposits, as well as personal, auto, home loans and credit card facilities.
The branch was officially opened on July 4, 2025, by Dr N.M. Veeraiyan, Founder and Chancellor of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, with additional dignitaries Dr Saveetha of The Pupil Saveetha Eco School and Dr Ramya from Saveetha School of Engineering in attendance. Vineet Dhar, Head of Branch Banking & Home Markets at IndusInd Bank, emphasised that the initiative reflects the bank’s “sustained vision of creating an inclusive and equitable banking ecosystem,” offering a “comfortable and convenient space” to encourage greater participation by women in formal banking.
This latest branch further reinforces IndusInd’s focus on tailoring retail banking to the needs of women. As of March 31, 2025, the bank has over 800 branches in southern India alone. By expanding its network with dedicated women-led branches, IndusInd Bank is not only promoting gender-inclusive access but also signaling its confidence in strengthening digital and retail banking across the region.
